In Polish folk music tradition the mazurka is one of the most representative forms of dance music, which also belongs to the European artistic heritage. It is widely present in the music of Debussy, Delibes, Tchaikovsky, and Scriabin.

To celebrate the anniversary of the day of birth of the great Polish composer Frederic Chopin, we are inviting you to discover the best of Polish Mazurkas by three exquisite Polish composers: Frederic Chopin, Karol Szymanowski and Roman Maciejewski.

Their delightful pieces were created on the ground of instrumental, expressive and subjective minia¬ture.

Lech Napierala is a talented young Polish pianist. He is the laureate of Piano Duets International Contest in BiaƂystok in 2002 and International Song Contest in Sofia in 2009.
