Celebrate World Cancer Day and make a pledge to reduce your risk of cancer by living healthier!

Bring your family and friends and learn more about cancer through interactive exhibitions and games, and measure your risk for colorectal cancer at home with free colorectal cancer screening (FOBT) kits.

See the EVENING SKY LIGHT UP with the release of BEAUTIFUL SKY LANTERNS*.

You can also enjoy stage performances, fun activities such as Airbrush Tattos, Face Painting and Caricatures, Food Stations and more.

Impt:
- The release of sky lanterns will be limited to a restricted area and conducted in a systematic and orderly manner, facilitated by event staff.
- For environmental preservation, the sky lanterns will be tethered to a standing post and will not be released freely into the sky.
- The organizer reserves the right to cancel any sky lantern launches or related activities in the event of bad weather.

NorthWest Roving Arts: Who's Afraid of Opera

Ever wondered if there is more to opera than impossible soprano voices and extravagant costumes? Then this enjoyable and educational opera programme is for you!

The performance is centred on the universal theme of love and will sweep you off your feet. Come and see opera in a brand new light with the singers of New Opera Singapore! Helmed by Jeong Ae Ree, New Opera Singapore was established in July 2011 with the aim of providing young singers a platform to showcase quality operatic works and engage the community through singing.

The NAC-ExxonMobil Concert in the Park series returns on Sunday, 27 January at the Singapore Botanic Gardens!

Hosted by Danny Yeo, the 17th edition of the NAC-ExxonMobil Concert in the Park will feature music performances by
T’ang Quartet,
Don Richmond,
Juz B and
Broadway Harmonica Ensemble.

From cheerful folk tunes, familiar pop melodies to easy listening classical music, there’s something for everyone!

Complementing this concert line-up are a range of fringe activities including:

Stitch a leaf and share – Take part in this craft project using leaves and materials prepared by POPIN, a contemporary craft collective of artists, designers and creative individuals; and your art work can be part of a year-end giant installation.

Make your own music instrument – Using recycled materials, learn how to create instruments such as tissue box guitars, plastic bottle shakers and bell shakers and personalise them using your creativity.

Come join us from 4:00pm – 6:30pm for a free and fun-filled afternoon with the entire family.

Band Fiesta In The Gardens will feature school concert bands performing a variety of genres of music.

Performing schools include St. Patrick's School, Nan Chiau High School, Siglap Secondary School, St. Stephen's School (Primary), St. Anthony's Primary School & Catholic High School (Primary).

Each school will feature a 20 minute performance and the concert will conclude with a grand finale of a combined band to celebrate the lunar new year.

My Art Space is an art club with two ambient studios and a picturesque waterfront-view cafe that operates amidst the verdant flora and fauna of Istana Park.

The session will be facilitated by professional artists, who will guide you through an inspiring fine art experience.
This event is suitable for all skill levels, and all materials (inclusive of acrylic paints) are provided for the session.
