The band of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines consists of 54 enthusiastic and
experienced amateur musicians, all of whom have strong links to KLM, KLM
affiliated airlines and Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam - the Netherlands.
Jan Schut, the musical director of the orchestra and a versatile muscian, is a
professional and experienced conductor. He teaches conducting Concert and Brass
Bands at the Conservatory of Music in Amsterdam. He conducts several orchestras,
directs musical productions, and has produced a large number of radio programmes
and documentaries. He is also a freelance trumpet player, conductor, jury member
and examiner.
