A 1-day Arts Village within Serangoon to expose residents to the local arts scene, residents are invited to spread their picnic mats and be entertained by a showcase of local artistic talents in the field of music, drama, interactive arts and performances.
Now for an event that’s family-friendly and exciting for the folks… PICNIC is Serangoon’s first ever outdoor arts festival intent to lead the discovery of local arts and cultural talent.
Lay your picnic mats across the soft Serangoon grass patch and revel in the crisp laidback village atmosphere of this festival.
Awaken your horizons to the lyrical tales told by seasoned storyteller, Roger Jenkins, or create your own unique prints with wood-blocking techniques.
Kids can also have their time of day painting on colours to kites.
You can look forward to these activities and acts:

- The Silver Yarn project
- Urich Lau Wai-Yuen

Celebrate World Cancer Day and make a pledge to reduce your risk of cancer by living healthier!
Bring your family and friends and learn more about cancer through interactive exhibitions and games, and measure your risk for colorectal cancer at home with free colorectal cancer screening (FOBT) kits.
See the EVENING SKY LIGHT UP with the release of BEAUTIFUL SKY LANTERNS*.
You can also enjoy stage performances, fun activities such as Airbrush Tattos, Face Painting and Caricatures, Food Stations and more.
Impt:
- The release of sky lanterns will be limited to a restricted area and conducted in a systematic and orderly manner, facilitated by event staff.
- For environmental preservation, the sky lanterns will be tethered to a standing post and will not be released freely into the sky.
- The organizer reserves the right to cancel any sky lantern launches or related activities in the event of bad weather.
